00_awaitingEthel was built in 1937 by Crossfields of Conway. She was one of the later Nobbies and was built with an engine, she is 30 ft long, 9ft 6 beam, Ethel was built for the Peters brothers of Parkgate and fished and shrimped for most of her life on the River Dee up until 1980.

She was bought in 1986 by Don Griffiths and was completely restored over a period of 6 years and has been a regular entree in to the Nobby Races, she is now moored in Conway less that 200 yards from where she was originally built in 1937.
