WELCOME TO THE NOBBY OWNERS ASSOCIATION WEB PAGES

The Nobby Owners Association was formed in 1987 by a group of Nobby enthusiasts, it was set up to encourage the restoration of traditional Morcambe Bay Prawner boats, (traditional wooden fishing boats dating back from the late 1800's). Each year more of these fine fishing vessels are found and restored back to there former glory which requires a lot of skill, effort and time, not to mention money !, They are sailed in our Annual Race on the River Mersey making a beautiful spectacle, with such a fantastic backdrop.
