This successful outing saw over 60 NOA members, friends and family head off to Bridlington for a social weekend. Including coach travel to and from the East Coast plus excursions to Whitby with its wonderful maritime heritage and reputedly the best fish ‘n chips in the world. Plus a visit to York and its amazing history, it was certainly a bust weekend.
Most of all over the two night stay it gave everyone the opportunity to catch up with old friends as well as get to know those people enjoying their first (hopefully not last) social weekend and of course relax over good food and a few drinks.

Fundraising is always an important part of these weekends and this year proved to be exceptionally successful with over £1100.00 raised through the raffle, card game etc.. etc.. held on the Saturday evening and over the weekend as a whole. Sincere thanks to everyone for their support. It was most definitely a great weekend.
Here are a few lines from a couple who enjoyed the event so much they sent a hand written note.
The next social weekend is scheduled for 23rd April 2010 to Bournemouth including a day excursion to Portsmouth, home of the famous Naval Dockyard where Nelsons Victory and the Marie Rose amongst others can be found. On the Sunday its over to Bealieu with all its attractions including the palace itself, car museum, gardens and estates plus of course probably the best boat jumble in the country.
